Kathryn M. Daugherty Scholarship
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Be officially accepted into an accredited program or course of study at a Maryland academic institution.
- Be a resident of the State of Maryland.
- Be enrolled full-time as at least a sophomore with an education major. Preference will be given to elementary education majors.
- Demonstrate critical financial need.
To remain eligible, the student must:
- Continue in an education curriculum leading to a degree in education.
- Maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA). If the GPA drops below 3.0, the scholarship will be discontinued.
- Submit an official transcript at the completion of each academic year to the Business and Professional Women's Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Instructions to applicants (please read carefully):
- For 2024, this scholarship is for $3,200 sophomore year, renewable next two years. Scholarship awards are subject to the availability of funds.
- This application is for academic year 2024 - 2025.
- A check in the amount of the scholarship will be sent to the business office of the recipient's school. Funds may be used for tuition only.
- Applications must be submitted using the application form provided and all questions must be answered.
- Please submit a copy of current transcript.
- Letters of reference are not required. However, the applicant may submit as many letters as she wishes. They should be mailed to the address below by the application deadline.
- Applications must be postmarked by June 15, 2024.
